Facebook's updation from www to web.facebook.com for being more descriptive

Hope you guys wonder ,what made Facebook to change its main domain to a sub domain that especially represents a laptop or PC access.

Then here comes the description.Its all about a change from Facebook's side to help new people to know which type of Facebook website they are accessing.

For example,the previous website automatically redirects to www.facebook.com or m.facebook.com ,when we point our browser to Facebook.com or Fb.com.
